Answer:

What helped Mark and Mary Ann Beauchamp to decide for a franchise was to listen to their consumers.

Explanation:

<em>For a business to success it is well-known that they have to satisfy the needs of a community.</em> That is exactly what Mark and Mary Ann did. They wanted to offer a place where people would stop eating fried chicken and, instead, eat healthy. So, they started in 1991 with a vegetarian juice bar named <em>"Wild Rose Café & Deli", </em>in which besides the juices they offered a delicious sauce, called <em>Yumm! Sauce.</em>

<em>This sauce is what made all the business change, because people started to ask mainly for the sauce and not the other products and also wanted meals made with it. </em>

Mark and Mary Ann listened to their costumers and realized that the business plan that they had with the juice bar was not satisfying people needs and wants (this was also showed because the juice bar was not going well in sales), so they changed their business into a restaurant, still vegetarian, casual and economic, but now it was a fast food and included meals. This happened in 1997. After that they started expanding in the city and then they become a franchise, because it was what people was asking for. It is important to notice that they would not reached what they got if they would not payed attention to they costumers needs.
