Hmm, I know that he isn't his father because his father was Uthman/Abu Quhafah. He definitely wasn't hiis son. So, the relationship between Abu Bakr and prophet Muhammad (saw) is that Abu Bakr is his father in law. I hope this helps

How did the development of democracy in Athens affect the lives of ordinary citizens?
dsp73
The correct answer in this question is B - for the first time, ordinary citizen could participate directly in government.

The reason for this is that when people started directly voting, they had more power and could directly see who will be in power in the futue as well. This in turn made them more "powerful" as they could directly influence who would be in charge of the city.

Which were some of the goals of the progressive movement?
stiks02 [169]

Original Question: Which were some of the goals of the progressive movement?

Answer: Choice (B) or To improve living and working conditions for workers

Reason:

 • Choice (A) is incorrect because the progressive movement actually focused on giving the government a little more power over the big business that set up a monopoly on their respective industry, to ensure that the companies had fair practices meant to create fair competition in each industry
 • Choice (B) is correct because progressivism actually focused on improving worker's conditions by establishing labor laws that tightened controls on 'big businesses to ensure that they gave safe working conditions to their workers
 • Choice (C) is incorrect because progressivism didn't so much focus on the economy, it more focused on dissolving monopolies
 • Choice (D) is incorrect because progressivism was more focused on the internal side of the US, and not so much on their foreign interaction

Hope that helps!
