What are 3 similarities of Robespierre and Napoleon?
Leni [432]

Robespierre was an idealist: he wanted to create and establish a Utopian society. The power he came to wield, went to his head, and was the cause of his downfall.

Napoleon was a pragmatist: intent on both self-aggrandizement, and the glorification of France. Needless to say from a practical point of view, the latter was far more successful than the former.

How were the Aborigine people affected when their children were forced to live with British families or in institutions?
loris [4]

The Aborigines found themselves in a situation were they were systematically assimilated into a new culture without being able to do anything. The children where taken away from their parents, and they were raised by people that were of British descent or were educated in British based institutions. That led to the children learning only what their British parents and institutions were teaching them, thus not being able to preserve anything from the Aboriginal culture.

Also, there were forced marriages between the British settlers and the Aboriginal women with the purpose of ethnically wiping out the Aborigines in few generations. That was one of the worst methods that has been used for destroying indigenous people.

Who is the mona lisa
Serga [27]
The Mona Lisa is one of the most famous artworks in the history of art. Leonardo da Vinci was the one who painted it. Some say it was a painting of Lisa Gherardini (just learned this in my Western Civ Class). The exact date in which Da Vinci started painting this picture is unknown however it is believed that he started painting the Mona Lisa around 1503 and completed around 1517. Hopefully this helps.

Which was an obstacle to the settlement of the American West?
sukhopar [10]
Homesteaders faced the problem of constructing shelter very quickly. To do so, they often constructed simple cabins. Some also made use of what was in their environment and built sod houses. These houses had the advantage of being inexpensive to build, as the homesteaders only needed to buy materials for constructing the windows, a door, and sometimes a roof, and sod was cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
