Bebop originated as musicians’ music that is played by musicians with other money-making gigs who did not care about commercial potential of the new music. Hence, there weren’t any bebop recording made during the early 1940s because it did not attract the attention of major record labels nor was it intended to. Thus, some of the early bebop was recorded informally. Furthermore, formal recording of bebop was first performed for small specialty labels who were less concerned with mass-market appeal than the major labels in 1944.

What image does Edwards use when preaching about God’s wrath?
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

Edwards uses "fire and water" to preach about the wrath of God.

Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God by Jonathan Edwards was lectured in 1741 in Enfield, Connecticut, it is a warning to “sinners” to perceive that they will be reckoned by God and that this judgment will be more dreadful and agonizing than they can grasp.

This is usual scare strategies and dread that Edwards uses to make his point, obviously this overstated, hyperbolic spotlight on the fierceness of God totally overlooks His different characteristics, for example, his affection, benevolence and empathy.
