The purpose of the civilian conservation corps was to provide jobs to unemployed men and also to conserve and improve national forests and parks. Civilian conservation corps was a programme which was put into place during the time of great depression when it was under Franklin Delano Roosevelt and this programme provided manual labor to unskill. 
Conservation is careful management, preservation, and protection of natural resources. Civilian conservation corps succeeded because of the employment is offered to young men between ages of seventeen and thirty-five years.
They performed lasting and necessary work in the rural areas and also provided the first glimpse of the natural environment to children.
