Hello,

Answer B

3x-4y=7==\ \textgreater \ y= \frac{3}{4} *x- \frac{7}{4} ==\ \textgreater \ slope=\frac{3}{4}\\\\

y+2=\dfrac{3}{4}*(x+4)==\ \textgreater \ 4y+8=3x+12==\ \textgreater \ 3x-4y=-4

is the only solution.

3x - 4y = 7
-4y = -3x + 7
y = 3/4x - 7/4.....the slope here is 3/4. A parallel line will have the same slope.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)
slope(m) = 3/4
(-4,-2)....x1 = -4 and y1 = -2
now we sub
y - (-2) = 3/4(x - (-4) =
y + 2 = 3/4(x + 4) <=== this is one

y + 2 = 3/4(x + 4)
y + 2 = 3/4x + 3
y = 3/4x + 3 - 2
y = 3/4x + 1
-3/4x + y = 1
3x - 4y = -4 <==== this is one

Answer:

x =  -2 ±sqrt(7)

Step-by-step explanation:

3x^2 +12 x = 9

Divide each side by 3

3x^2 /3 +12x/3 = 9/3

x^2 +4x = 3

Take the coefficient of x

4

Divide by 2

4/2 =2

Square it

2^2 =4

Add it to each side

x^2 +4x+4 = 3+4

x^2 +4x+4 = 7

(x+2)^2 = 7

Take the square root of each side

x+2 = ±sqrt(7)

Subtract 2 from each side

x+2-2 = -2 ±sqrt(7)

x =  -2 ±sqrt(7)

X + 2y = 200<br> x = y + 50
Simora [160]

Answer:

x = 100

y = 50

Step-by-step explanation:

if x = y + 50,

putting the value of x in first equation we get,

  • x + 2y = 200
  • y + 50 + 2y = 200
  • 3y = 200 - 50
  • y = 150 / 3
  • y = 50

putting the value of y in second equation,

  • x = y + 50
  • x = 50 + 50
  • x = 100

1. A tank is 3/5 full of water. After 330 litres of water is drawn out, it becomes 2/7 full. Find the capacity of the tank in li
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

1050

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = full capacity

\frac{3}{5} x=\frac{2}{7} x+330

Move the variable to the left side by subtracting both sides by \frac{2}{7} x

\frac{3}{5} x-\frac{2}{7}x=\frac{2}{7} x+330 -\frac{2}{7}x

\frac{3}{5} x-\frac{2}{7} x=330

Combine the like terms (don't forget about common denominator)

\frac{21}{35} x-\frac{10}{35} x=330

\frac{11}{35} x=330

Multiply both sides by \frac{35}{11} to isolate the x

(\frac{35}{11})\frac{11}{35} x=330(\frac{35}{11})

x = 1050
