Answer:

$35.42

Step-by-step explanation:

First we need to find what the price of the TV would be with the 15% off.  Its 15% off meaning its 85% of the original price.  In math, of means multiply so we can multiply 500 by 85% or 0.85.  500 times 0.85 is 425.  Now that we know the reduced price of the TV we can figure out the cost of each payment by dividing the price by 12 because there are 12 payments  425/12=35.42

I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to ask if there is anything still unclear!

If you are discounted 15% then the tv is going to cost $425 because you take %15 of $500 (which is $75) and the. You subtract that from $500 and that gives you $425. Now, you just divide that amount by $12 and that gives you about $35.42/month if you round up. Hopefully that’s the right answer.

The age of some lecturers are 42,54,50,54,50,42,46,46,48 and 48 calculate the mean age and standard deviation
rjkz [21]

Answer:

Mean age: 48

Standard deviation: 4

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Mean

The formula for Mean = Sum of terms/ Number of terms

Number of terms

= 42 + 54 + 50 + 54 + 50 + 42 + 46 + 46 + 48+ 48/ 10

= 480/10

= 48

The mean age is 48

b) Standard deviation

The formula for Standard deviation =

√(x - Mean)²/n

Where n = number of terms

Standard deviation =

√[(42 - 48)² + (54 - 48)² + (50 - 48)² +(54 - 48)² + (50 - 48)² +(42 - 48)² + (46 - 48)² + (46 - 48)² + (48 - 48)² + (48 - 48)² / 10]

= √-6² + 6² + 2² + 6² + 2² + -6² + -2² + -2² + 0² + 0²/10

=√36 + 36 + 4 + 36 + 4 + 36 + 4 + 4 + 0 + 0/ 10

=√160/10

= √16

= 4

The standard deviation of the ages is 4

The diameter of a sphere is 4 centimeters.
ELEN [110]
The volume of a sphere refers to the number of cubic units that will exactly fill a sphere. The volume of a sphere can be found or calculate by using the formula V=4/3πr^3, where r represents the radius of the figure.

In this exercise is given that a sphere has a radius of 4 centimeters and it is asked to find its volume and use 3.14 as the value of π or pi. The first step would be substitute the values into the previous mention formula.

V=4/3πr^3
V=4/3(3.14)(4 cm)^3
V=4/3)(3.14)(64 cm^3)
V=267.9 cm^3
The volume of the sphere is 267.9 cubic centimeters.
