Which of the following examples is ungrammatical?

English

-I ain't hungry
-I is hungry

These options are ungrammatical. Ain't while is used and has context, isn't a real word and is not used correctly here. I is hungry, should be I AM hungry. Is can still be a state of mind or being, however it's used wrong here.

The last option, while is entirely slang, is still grammatically correct.

I hope this helps! :)

'I aint hungy' is child's language, however still ungrammatical the correct option is 'I is hungry' if you have to only choose one. Not saying anyone else is wrong though.

In act 1, Hamlet says that, in the future, he may "put an antic disposition on." This means that he may ____________.
DanielleElmas [232]

It means he will pretend to be mad, in order to plot his revenge and act upon it. "Antic" used to mean "madcap", "bizarre", which suits Hamlet because he doesn't want to be taken seriously until he proves to himself that Claudius is really his father's murderer, and Gertrude complicit.

Which statement best explains why readers get a sense of satisfaction from the story’s resolution?
Oliga [24]

Answer:

The statement which best explains why readers get a sense of satisfaction from the story's resolution is:

D. Roger has learned that he can be trusted and valued.

Explanation:

Roger and Mrs. Jones are characters in the short story "Thank You, Ma'am," by author Langston Hughes. Roger is a teenage boy who tries to steal Mrs. Jones's purse. Instead of screaming for the police or simply beating Roger - Mrs. Jones is a strong woman -, she brings him home with her.

The story revolves around Roger learning a lesson. To his surprise, Mrs. Jones treats him well. Even though her words aren't said in a kind manner, there is kindness in her intentions. She tells him to go wash up and to comb his hair. While he does that, she cooks him dinner. Mrs. Jones tells him there was no need to try and steal from her. He could have asked for some money if he needed it instead.

Her behavior and what it means to Roger give readers a sense of satisfaction. They know Mrs. Jones has left a mark in Roger's life and that, most likely, he won't rob people from now on. He now knows he can be trusted and valued.

I am having writers block. Can someone please give me ideas for my story? My story is on Wattpad called Betting on the girl I wi
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

Hm, I think that it would be fun to reverse some of the cliches

Meet cutes is something that gives readers a good impression on a realationship. I think its funny whenever that goes horribly wrong.

Like for example, a cute momment where they're walking home together under the same umbrella but the umbrella flies away, and in a frenzy they run to the closest place they could find to take shelter from the rain. That place could end up being anything from a bar full of motor cyclists, a roller rink, or anything that will drive their realationship fowards in the direction you want to go.

When your having trouble finding plot points think...

- What is the worst thing that can happen to my character?

- What is the best thing to happen to my character?

- What does my character want, why cant they have it?

- What does my character have, why don't they want it?

Haven't read your story yet, but the title gives me an idea of what its about. Maybe your character can find out about the bet, and instead of getting mad, instead they use it to their advantage and manipulate the bet without the other characters knowing. This could lead to a lot of cute and funny momments.

For me, whenever I get writer block I usually listen to different music that I've never heard before or different shows and movies. That sometimes gets me ideas. Other times I just have to wait until it suddenly hits me.
