Answer: B- nitrogen

Answer choices are:

A- water
B- nitrogen
C- carbon
D- phosphorus

Legumes have root nodules that provide a home for bacteria (rhizobia). Rhizobia that fixes nitrogen. They convert nitrogen gas from the atmosphere into ammonia. This ammonia is in turn used in the formation of amino acids and nucleotides in legumes. This is the nitrogen cycle which involves a symbiotic relationship between bacteria and

Hornworts are needle-like sporophytes that are a part of the group of bryophytes or non-vascular plants. They have horn-like or needle-like structures that have a flattened green plant body. These hornworts may be found all over the world but can only grow in places that are damp and humid. Some of its other species grow in large numbers as tiny weeds in garden soils and cultivated fields. While others in the tropical and subtropical areas grow on barks of trees.

Substances effect: partially blocks (H+)/pyruvate symporter, interfering with the transport of pyruvate into the mitochondria. W
MatroZZZ [7]

Answer:

It will lose weight

Explanation:

The pyruvate is the product formed by the process of glycolysis by the breakdown of the glucose-mediated by enzymes.

The process of glycolysis take place in the cytosol therefore for further processing or stages of respiration, the pyruvate has to enter the mitochondria which occur through the (H+)/pyruvate symporter.

In the given question condition, if the symporter is blocked then the pyruvate will not enter into the mitochondria as a result of which less ATP will be produced. So the body will use some other sources which can form the pyruvate which can easily enter the mitochondria.

Therefore, the body will begin to lose weight.

Dr. Evil just discovered a way to prevent crossing over from occurring during meiosis in the gametes of her lab rats.
Alja [10]

Dr. Evil has just discovered a way to prevent mating from occurring during meiosis in the gametes of his lab rats. the effects her discovery would have on laboratory mice is that prophase I would be interrupted and there would be reduced genetic variation in the offspring of the mice. because crossover occurs during prophase I of meiosis I and results in genetic recombination, which promotes genetic variation. If this is avoided, genetic variation would be significantly reduced in the offspring.

What happens in prophase 1?

Prophase I – in this stage, the condensation of the chromosomes occurs; the temporary disappearance of the carioteca; disappearance of the nucleolus and the duplication of centrioles to the poles of the cell. In prophase, the exchange of genes (crossing-over) also takes place, through the exchange of pieces between homologous chromosomes.

With this information, we can conclude that Prophase I is the first stage of meiosis I. In it, the pairing of homologous chromosomes occurs and a phenomenon known as crossing-over can occur.
