Aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) inhibit inflammation by inhibiting an enzyme in the prostaglandin

pathway. However, inhibiting this enzyme also inhibits other pathways that protect the stomach from damage by stomach acid and that form blood clots. What can you conclude from this? Aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) inhibit inflammation by inhibiting an enzyme in the prostaglandin pathway. However, inhibiting this enzyme also inhibits other pathways that protect the stomach from damage by stomach acid and that form blood clots. What can you conclude from this? The enzyme is found in many different types of cells. Prostaglandins cause blood clotting. Aspirin should not be given to people who people who need to synthesize enzymes. The enzyme inhibition is nonreversible.

Answer: The enzyme is found in different types of cells.

Explanation:

The result that can be concluded is that this enzyme is found in different types of cells. This is the reason that the medicines like aspirin and other non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs inhibit the prostaglandin pathway and other pathways too.

These medication acts on the enzymes and it will act in the cells where this enzyme will be present. Hence, the enzyme is acting in different types of cells.

Recently, genes have been indentified in angiosperms that are important in preventing pollen from germinating or growing into th
Marizza181 [45]

Answer:

D. Sterility Locus

Explanation:

Angiosperms have several mechanisms to prevent self-pollination due to the advantage of cross-pollination. One of such mechanisms is self-incompatibility genes present on the sterility locus.

These genes determine the germination of the pollen on the stigma. If both the pollen and stigma carry the same allele of the gene present at the sterility locus, the germination of pollen is prevented.

The sterility locus has multiple alleles and the presence of the same alleles at the same locus in both pollen and stigma prevents the pollen germination.

For example, pollen from S1S2 individuals can not germinate on the stigma with the S1S3 genotype. Here, the pollen does not obtain water as required for germination from the stigma and are unable to germinate.
