Answer:

Water stay in the bucket if the bucket is spin upside down and fast because due to centripetal force.

Explanation:

When the bucket is at highest point in the circular motion then there will be three forces work centripetal force in upward direction ann normal and weight will work in downward direction.

By newton law,

centripetal force=weight + normal force.

\frac{mv^{2} }{r}=N+mg\\ N=\frac{mv^{2} }{r}-mg

If the water will stay in the bucket in upside direction then there will be normal force is positive which means the centripetal force is greater than weight.

And to increase the centripetal force velocity should be greater because it depends on velocity.

The practical application of centripetal force are discussed below:

(a) Turning of the car on a banked road or in circular track.

(b) Revolution of the earth around the sun.

Classify the statement below as either Speed or Velocity?
Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

Hello There!

It is Speed.

\Large\bold\red{Reason}

Because in the question it is said that at which speed car is travelling.

Speed is a scalar quantity.

If it is velocity then first know this that it is a vector quantity.

It must include both magnitude and direction.

If it is velocity then it would be 40 mph east or west or north or south.

              How do crabs support and protect themselves without a skeleton
Brums [2.3K]
Technically, they do have a skeleton. The hard shell it has is called an exoskeleton. It works just like our skeleton, in terms of muscles and support. And, it protects from harm, similar to the way our skin protects the inside of our body from dirt and such.

What is the frequency of a sound wave having a velocity of 341 meters/second and a wavelength of 0.8 meters?
Brums [2.3K]
We know, Frequency = speed / wavelength
f = 341 / 0.8
f = 426.25 Hz

In short, Your Answer would be 426.25 Hz

Hope this helps!

True or false: The maximum tensile force a solid, cylindrical wire can withstand increases as the thickness of the wire increase
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

The tensile stress, σ, on a solid cylindrical wire is given by the following relationship;

\sigma = \dfrac{F_t}{A_o}

Where;

F_t = The tensile force

A_o = The original cross sectional area of the cylindrical wire = π·R²

R = The radius of the wire

Therefore;

F_t = σ × A_o = σ × π × R²

Therefore, the tensile force is directly proportional to the square of the radius of the cylindrical wire, and as the radius of the wire increases, which is by increasing the thickness of the wire, the tensile force is largely increased

The correct option is; True.
