Given the circumference of a circle is 26 pi, what is the area of the circle? Show work. Leave answer in term of pi.
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:169pi

Step-by-step explanation:

Circumference(c)=26pi

Circumference(c)=2 x pi x radius(r)

26pi=2pi x r

Divide both sides by 2pi

26pi/2pi=(2pi x r)/2pi

13=r

Radius(r)=13

Area of circle=pi x r^2

area of circle=pi x 13^2

Area of circle=169pi

san4es73 [151]
A and D are correct. To understand this, you need to know that this scenario gives us a total (2 1/2 cups) and a part (1/4). When you have these 2 pieces of information you have either a division problem with a total divided into parts (choice D) or you have one part and a totol shown as a multiplication problem (choice A).
