hi there

your answer to this is :

There are two types of cell,is the  <u><em>prokaryotic (bacteria)</em></u> and eukaryotic (animal, plant, fungi and<em><u> protectionist</u></em> (unicellular organisms)). <u><em>Prokaryotes have no nucleolus</em></u> – the DNA is in the cytoplasm, and that it can from small circular strands of DNA called <u><em>plasmids</em></u>.that is  Eukaryotic cells all have their DNA enclosed in a nucleus.

i hopes this helped you

Under typical cellular conditions, which enzyme does not catalyze an irreversible reaction in glycolysis?
harina [27]

Phosphoglycerate kinase does not catalyze an irreversible process in glycolysis under normal cellular circumstances.

Discussion about glycolysis:

  • Ten stages make up the glycolysis process, seven of which are reversible and three of which are practically irreversible. These are the first, third, and final stages that are successively catalyzed by hexokinase, phosphofructokinase, and pyruvate kinase.
  • During the glycolysis process, glucose 6-phosphate is changed into pyruvate. Everything that happens is cytoplasmic. Fructose 6-phosphate is created by reversible isomerization of glucose 6-phosphate. Physiologically irreversible fructose 6-phosphate phosphorylation to fructose 1,6-bisphosphate is performed by phosphofructokinase.

Hexokinase, phosphofructokinase-1, and pyruvate kinase conduct nearly irreversible events during glycolysis, hence one would anticipate that these enzymes have both regulatory and catalytic functions.

So, option d i.e., phosphoglycerate kinase should be the appropriate response.

Why is the shape of a protein one of its most critical characteristics?
ValentinkaMS [17]

Protein becomes denatured and cease to perform the work if structural changes occur because protein is highly specific in its function. It is stated that the function of the protein is determined by its structure. The proteins are the product of the continuous process of replication, transcription, translation and post-translational modifications. The information stored in it highly specific.

Protein binds with other molecules and perform various physiological functions as it has specific complementary attachment sites, the alteration in the structure would not let it bind to the target and hence desired result will not come out.
