To solve the equation for d use the equation that is given C = dπ remember that if do something to one side of equation and the same thing to the other side the equation will remain equal so here we should divide both sides of the equation to isolate d because if we divide dπ by π the π's will cancel out leaving us with just d so on the other side divide C by π to get C/π now we just write the equation as C/π = d

Answer: The given equation solve for the letter d is C/π = d

Ps, pi = π

C = pi*d; solve for d.

Divide both sides of this eqn by pi:  C/pi = d  (answer)

Ket [755]
First box: \dfrac{pen}{total}=\dfrac{5}{10}=\dfrac{1}{2}

Second box: \dfrac{crayon}{total}=\dfrac{5}{12}

Multiply them:

\dfrac{1}{2}*\dfrac{5}{12}=\dfrac{5}{24}

The probabilityis \dfrac{5}{24}

Can someone help me with this?
aivan3 [116]

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the volume of a sphere is V = 4/3 πr³.

So

Given

Volume (v) = 57ft³

v =  \frac{4}{3} \pi {r}^{3}

57 =  \frac{4}{3}  \times 3.14 \times  {r}^{3}

57 = \frac{12.56}{3} \times    {r}^{3}

57 = 4.19 \times  {r}^{3}

{r}^{3}  =  \frac{57}{4.19}

{r}^{3}  = 13.6

r =  \sqrt[3]{13.6}

Therefore r = 2.4 ft

I gave my answers by rounding off. so if you don't round off then it's answer is 2.3 ft

Consider a manufacturing process called as turning (a type of machining process) that is used to manufacture cylindrical metal s
Sav [38]

Answer: 86.64%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be a random variable that represents the diameter of metal samples.

Given : Population mean : \mu=10

Standard deviation: s=0.50

Specified tolerance on the diameter is 0.75 mm.

i.e. range of diameter = 10-0.75< x <10+0.75 = 9.25< x< 10.75

Formula to find the z-score corresponds to x: z=\dfrac{x-\mu}{s}

At x= 0.75,  z=\dfrac{9.25-10}{0.50}=-1.5

z=\dfrac{9.25-10}{0.50}=1.5

Using standard normal table for z-value,

P-value : p(-1.5

∴ Percentage of samples manufactured using this process satisfy the tolerance specification = 86.64%
