Find the measure of
Alborosie
Angle B is HALF of the sum of the two angles it intercepts.

Since it intercepts 48 and 142 degrees, simply add them add divide by 2:
B = (48 + 142)/2
B = 190/2
B = 95

The measure of angle B is 95 degrees.

How to solve this problem?
valentinak56 [21]

Very nice handwriting but the math and English are confusing.

Let's assume we're told

\displaystyle 45 = \sum_{i=1}^9 (x_i - 10)^2

The subscript is important.

I think we're told the similar sum with 11 gives the smallest possible value for the sum. This is a rather cagey way of telling us 11 is the mean of the nine points. The mean is the number which minimizes the sum of squared deviations.

\displaystyle 45 = \sum_{i=1}^9 (x_i - 10)^2 = \sum x_i^2 - 20 \sum x_i + 9(100)

\displaystyle  \sum x_i^2=  20 \sum x_i  - 900

If 11 is the mean, the sum of the points is 9(11)=99.

\displaystyle  \sum x_i^2=  20 (99)  - 900 = 1080

Answer: 1080

Given points (r1, u1 ) and (r2, u2) in polar coordinates, obtain a general formula for the distance between them. Simplify it as
sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

  d=\sqrt{r_1^2+r_2^2-2r_1r_2\cos(u_2-u_1)}

Step-by-step explanation:

The Law of Cosines gives an immediate result. No translation to Cartesian coordinates is necessary. That law makes use of the angle between the vectors, u2-u1

  d^2=r_1^2+r_2^2-2r_1r_2\cos(u_2-u_1)\\\\\boxed{d=\sqrt{r_1^2+r_2^2-2r_1r_2\cos(u_2-u_1)}}

Calculate the equation of the line if two points are (1,6) and (5,0).<br><br> Explain
topjm [15]

Answer:

y = -3/2x+15/2

Step-by-step explanation:

First calculate the slope

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

   = (0-6)/(5-1)

   = -6/4

  = -3/2

The slope intercept form of a line is

y = mx+b  where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = -3/2 x+b

Substitute a point into the equation

0 = -3/2(5)+b

0 = -15/2+b

15/2 = b

The equation is

y = -3/2x+15/2
