Answer:

The probability of the arrow landing on a section colored green is 65%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A spinner is divided into sections of equal size, some of which are red, some are blue, and the remaining are green.

The probability of the arrow landing on a section colored red is 25%.

The probability of the arrow landing on a section colored blue is 10%.

To find : The probability of the arrow landing on a section colored green

Solution :

→ The probability of the arrow landing on a section colored red is 25%.

i.e, P(R)=25\%=\frac{25}{100}=0.25

→ The probability of the arrow landing on a section colored blue is 10%.

i.e, P(B)=10\%=\frac{10}{100}=0.10

→ Probability of the spinner is P(R)+P(B)+P(G)=1

To find the probability of section green colored, substitute the value

P(R)+P(B)+P(G)=1

0.25+0.10+P(G)=1

0.35+P(G)=1

P(G)=1-0.35

P(G)=0.65

Convert into percentage,

0.65=\frac{65}{100}\times 100=65\%

Therefore,The probability of the arrow landing on a section colored green is 65%.

I believe it is 65% because you add 25% and 10% together then subtract from 100, because percent means per 100. So, sorry if I am wrong.

Equation of the line passing through (7,5) and (1, 2)
Trava [24]

Answer:

y = \frac{1}{2}x + \frac{3}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming this is a linear equation in the form of y = mx + b, we can first solve for the slope using \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}, for these points, the slope would be \frac{1}{2}. Now we plug in the points to get the equation:

plugging in (7,5), we get 5 = \frac{1}{2} ×7 + b

and solving for b, we get b = \frac{3}{2}

therefore, the equation of the line passing through (7,5) and (1,2) is y = \frac{1}{2}x + \frac{3}{2}.

hope this helps!

A 60 by 80-foot rectangular walk in a park surrounds a flower bed. If the walk is of uniform width and its area is equal to the
alekssr [168]

Answer: 17.14 ft

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

The area of the flower bed is 60 ft x 80 ft = 4800 ft²

The perimeter of the sidewalk that surrounds the flower bed is:

  •   2(60 ft) + 2(80 ft)
  • = 120 ft + 160 ft
  • = 280 ft

The area of the sidewalk is:

  • perimeter x width
  • = 280w

area of sidewalk = area of flower bed

280w = 4800

\text{w}=\dfrac{4800}{280}

  =\dfrac{120}{7}

  ≈ 17.14

7x + 6(-3 + 4x) = 199<br>what does x equal?
tresset_1 [31]

Simplify. Note the equal sign. What you do to one side, you do to the other. Follow PEMDAS.

Isolate the x.

First, distribute 6 to all terms within the parenthesis

6(-3) = -18

6(4x) = 24x

7x - 18 + 24x = 199

Simplify. Combine like terms

31x - 18 = 199

Isolate the x. Add 18 to both sides

31x - 18 (+18) = 199 (+18)

31x = 199 + 18

31x = 217

Isolate the x. Divide 31 from both sides

31x/31 = 217/31

x = 217/31

x = 7

7 is your answer for x

hope this helps

What is 6.1% in simplest fraction form?
timama [110]

Answer:

Find the GCD (or HCF) of numerator and denominator. GCD of 6 and 1 is 1.

6 ÷ 11 ÷ 1.

Reduced fraction: 61. Therefore, 6/1 simplified to lowest terms is 6/1.
