After the seven years war between the French and the British, the crown was left with a lot of debt due to the many expenses that fighting a battle with another empire represents, because of that they had to impose new taxes on the colonies of the empire which wasn´t well received in the american colonies that already had had sometime governing themselves alone and trading with liberty.
