When Elie's father realizes his number has been called he runs to Elie in panic and tries to be brave. He tells his son that there's hope, but he gives Elie his knife and his spoon.

" Look, take his knife," he said to me. " I don't need it any longer and it might be useful to you. And take this spoon as well. Don't sell them. Quickly! Go on. Take what i'm giving you!"

"The White Man's Burden" thematically corresponds to Kipling's belief that the British Empire (1583–1945) was the Englishman's "Divine Burden to reign God's Empire on Earth"

Explanation:

''The White Man's Burden,'' was a famous poem written by Kipling. It was written in the year 1899. The poem was addressed not to the British but to the Americans, who were then, under President McKinley, beginning their own process of colonizing the Philippines.

Rudyard Kipling's notorious prescription for the United States as it began to rule the Philippine Islands. That refrain, from an 1899 poem, eventually became a key exhibit in the case against the racism and exploitation of 19th-century imperialism.

126,472 round to the nearest ten thousand
Vilka [71]

Answer:

130,000

Explanation:

the fifth diget from the right is always a ten thousand. So you know that you have to round that. Now you look at the thousand. When the number is under a 5 then you round down and if the number is a 5 or higher then you round up. In this case the thousand is a 6 so you round up and turn the 2 into a 3. The rest of the numbers that are after the three turn into a 0.

I hope this helps XD
