Equation of a line:
y=mx+c

m = gradient: The difference between two y points and two x points.
m= \frac{\Delta y}{\Delta x}

c = y-intercept: Where the line crosses the y-axis (x=0)

You have:
y=\textunderscore\textunderscore \ x + \textunderscore
so you are missing the m and the c.

To calculate m find two y coordinates -you have (12, <u>7</u>) and (0, <u>1</u>)- and subtract them. Then divide this by the subtracted values of the x coordinates -you have (<u>12</u>, 7) and (<u>0</u>, 1)- This gives:

m= \frac{7-1}{12-0}
m= \frac{6}{12}
m=0.5

To calculate the c, you just see where the line crosses the y-axis. Because you have the point (0, 1), you know that when x=0, y=1. Because x=0 is on the y-axis, you can tell that the line passes through y=1. This makes your c = 1:

c=1

When you plug these values into the equation you get your answer:

y=0.5x+1

Novay_Z [31]

Answer: I thinks it's 193.313

Step-by-step explanation: Let’s take the pentagon with side length 11.7 yards and apothem length 14.1 yards

Area of pentagon is = 5/2 x s x a

= 5/2 x 11.7 x 214.1

=6262.425 square centimetres.

Example 2 : Find the area of a pentagon of side 11.7 yards and apothem length 14.1 yards ?

Solution :

Given,

s = 11.7 yds

a = 14.1 yds

Area of a pentagon

= 193.313 yds

Triangle ABC has vertices A(–2, 3), B(0, 3), and C(–1, –1). Find the coordinates of the image after a reflection over the x-axis
slava [35]

Answer:

(-2,-3), (0,-3), (-1,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

When reflecting over an axis, the axis you are reflecting over stays the same while the opposite axis becomes its opposite number, like reflect (12, -9) over the y axis, the y (-9) would stay the same but the x (12) would become (-12)
