seeing these commercials for Special K cereal and if you eat it for 2 weeks, you will lose 10 pounds. I want to test this idea and see if it actually works. I plan on eating whatever I want for the next two weeks and am going to track my weight every morning. Answer:

Hypothesis: If you eat Special K cereal for 2 weeks, you will lose 10 pounds.

Independent variable: Special K cereal.

Dependent Variable: Weight lose.

Explanation:

Hypothesis: The term "hypothesis" is determined as a testable and a precise statement of what a specific researcher or experimenter predicts would be considers as the outcome of a particular study.

Independent variable: In research, the term "independent variable" is determined as a variable that is being re-organized in an experiment or research in order to see its impact on the dependent variable. Independent variable influences the dependent variable directly.

Dependent variable: The term "dependent variable" is determined as a variable that is being measured or tested in an experiment or research by the experimenter or researcher and is directly influenced by the independent variable.
