(1/2)/2=3/x
we can cross multiply, aka multiply both sides by 2x
(1/2)x=2*3
(1/2)x=6
times 2/1 both sides
x=12

Answer:

Part 1) Greta's right, the triangle is incorrect.

Part 2) 34,203\ ft

Part 3) The height of the tree is 23.3\ ft, Trey’s house is not at risk

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1) we know that

In the right triangle of the figure

sin(30\°)=\frac{1}{2}

sin(30\°)=\frac{6\sqrt{3}}{12}=\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}

Compare

\frac{1}{2}\neq\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}

therefore

The triangle is not correct

Because

The side adjacent to the 30 degree angle should be 6\sqrt{3} and the side opposite the 30 degree angle should be 6

Part 2)

Let

x--------> the distance from the airplane to the SCCA (hypotenuse of the right triangle)

we know that

sin(17\°)=\frac{10,000}{x}

x=\frac{10,000}{sin(17\°)}

x=34,203\ ft

Part 3)

Let

x-------->  the height of the tree

we know that

tan(43\°)=\frac{h}{25}

h=tan(43\°)(25)=23.3\ ft

23.3\ ft< 25\ ft

therefore

Trey’s house is not at risk

Ede4ka [16]

Answer: (12.007\ , \ 12.033)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Sample size : n= 36 , which is a large sample (n>30) so the test applied here is z-test.

Significance level : \alpha: 1-0.95=0.05

Using Standard normal table , Critical value : z_{\alpha/2}=1.96

Sample mean : \overline{x}=12.02

Standard deviation: \sigma= 0.04

The confidence interval for population means is given by :-

\overline{x}\pm z_{\alpha/2}\dfrac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

i.e.12.02\pm(1.96)\dfrac{0.04}{\sqrt{36}}

\approx12.02\pm0.013=(12.02-0.013,\ 12.02+0.013)\\\\=(12.007\ , \ 12.033)

Hence, the 95 percent confidence interval for the fill rate = (12.007\ , \ 12.033)

5x + 2 = 7 <br> X = ?<br> Can you please help me with this
daser333 [38]

Answer:

x=1

Step-by-step explanation:

Move the constant to the right side of the equation and change its sign to the opposite. the constant in this equation is +2. the new equation looks like this: 5x=7-2. After subtracting on the right (7-2) the new equation should be 5x=5. divide both sides of the equation by 5. the answer is x=1

Convert the point slope equation y + 5 = - 3/4(x + 2) into standard form.
inna [77]
Answer: 3x + 4y = - 26

Explanation:

1) the standard form is Ax + By = C

2) given: y + 5 = - (3 / 4) (x + 2)

3) multiply both sides by 4:

4y + 20 = - 3 (x + 2)

4) expand the parenthesis using distributive property:

4y + 20 = -3x - 6

5) transpose -3x and 20

4y + 3x = - 20 - 6

6) combine like terms

4y + 3x = - 26

7) rearrange:

3x + 4y = - 26

That is the standard form of the linear equation given.
