Answer:

P/E ratio = Market price per share

                Earnings per share

15 = Market price per share

       $4

Market price per share = 15 x $4 = $60

Growth rate = Retention rate x ROE

0.07 = Retention rate x  0.10

0.07 = Retention rate

0.10

Retention rate = 0.7 = 70%

Dividend pay-out ratio = 100% - 70%

Dividend pay-out ratio = 30%

Earnings per share = 100/30 x $1.20 = $4

Explanation:

In this case, we will apply the formula of price-earnings ratio, which is market price per share divided by earnings per share. The P/E ratio was given while the earnings per share is derived. The market price per share becomes the subject of the formula.

In order to determine the earnings per share, we need to obtain the retention ratio by applying the formula of growth rate. In this case, growth rate and ROE were provided in the question with the exception of retention rate. Thus, the retention rate is made the subject of the formula. Having obtained the retention rate, we will now obtain the dividend payout ratio which is 100% minus retention rate.

Then, we will obtain the earnings per share by dividing 100 by the pay-out ratio multiplied by the dividend per share.

Suppose that the market demand curve for scooters is given by P = 300 - 5Q, where P is the price and Q is total industry output.
BigorU [14]

Answer:

The total number of scooters is 10

Explanation:

Total profit is maximized where Marginal Revenue (MR) = Total Marginal Cost

= 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 = $200

TR = P × Q = (300 - 5Q) × Q = 300Q - 5Q²

So, MR = \frac{d(TR)}{dQ} = 300 - 2(5Q) = 300 - 10Q

Now, MR = 200 gives,

300 - 10Q = 200

So, 10Q = 300 - 200 = 100

So, Q = \frac{100}{10}

So, Q = 10

Kyle and Alyssa paid $1,000 and $4,000 in qualifying expenses for their two daughters Jane and Jill, respectively, to attend the
denis-greek [22]

Answer: $3,500

Explanation:

The American Opportunity Tax Credit is a credit offered by the IRS for educational expenses paid on qualified students in their first 4 years of tertiary education.

The credit offered stands at a 100% of the first $2,000 paid per student. Afterwards this drops to 25% for the next $2,000.

To be able to claim the full credit however, some income conditions must be met. The most relevant to this question is that your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) should be $80,000 or less if filing singularly or $160,000 or less if jointly signing as a married couple.

That means that Kyle and Alyssa qualified for 100% of this credit.

They get to claim $1,000 on Jane.

For Jill they get to claim the first $2,000 and then 25% of the next $2,000,

= 25% * 2,000

= $500

= 500 + 2,000

= $2,500

They get to claim $2,500 on Jill.

Total of $3,500 for both Jane and Jill.

krek1111 [17]

Answer:

Brian's demand is perfectly inelastic.

Crystal's demand is unit elastic.

Explanation:

Given that

Brian said = 10 gallons of gas

where, Crystal says = $10 worth of gas

By seeing the above information, we concluded that the Brain's demand is perfectly inelastic as the demand of the gallons are fixed

And, the crystal demand is unitary elastic as the expenditure would remain unchanged or fixed

In addition, the perfectly inelastic is when elasticity is zero , and unitary elastic is when elasticity is equal to one
