Nerve impulses will not travel down the optic nerve.

Explanation:

Refraction of light rays and to focus them to create the image is the function of eye lens. Iris regulate the size of the pupil to make the eyes adjusted to the changes in the light intensity. The sensory fibers of retina make optic nerve which in turn carries the nerve impulse to the brain. Any damage to retina would affect the functioning of optic nerve and the sensory impulses would not be delivered from optic nerve to brain.
