What was Booker T. Washington vision for Georgia?
Tamiku [17]

s the United States entered the 20th century, African Americans faced a new and challenging landscape. A mere thirty-five years after the abolition of slavery, the majority of African Americans had learned to read and hundreds were heading to colleges and universities to continue their studies. The 1900 Paris Exposition created by W.E.B. DuBois showcased the gains that African Americans had made since emancipation.

However, many of the freedoms gained during the era of reconstruction were beginning to disappear. It became more and more difficult for African Americans to vote; the Plessy v. Ferguson ruling made segregation the law of the land; and groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and the Knights of the White Camelia tried to reverse the successes of African Americans, sometimes using violence and lynching to strike fear in the African American community.

Many contributed to the debates on how best to secure and advance the rights of African Americans, but one of the major contributors was the educator Booker T. Washington. Washington, the leader of Tuskegee Institute, stated his views in a speech at the Cotton States and International Exposition in Atlanta, Georgia, in September 1895.

Booker T. Washington c1917.

One way in which this division of power weakened the country.
Natalija [7]

Answer:

Division of power tend to prolonged the legislation making process.

Explanation:

Division of power is initially created to prevent the government from becoming to powerful. We do this by dividing the government into three branches. The legislative branch to create the laws, the executive branch to implement the law, and the judicial branch to oversee the law

Even though this division is important, it has its own downside.

One of them is that it can prolonged the legislation making process. In order to pass a certain type of law, the legislative branch need to pass an examination made by the judicial branch and approval from the president on the legislative branch. Those branches do not always agree on key issues. This make the process to create a law become long and complicated.

ILL GIVE BRAINLIEST TO WHOEVER ANSWERS BEST.
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

The Great Compromise solved issues between states with small populations and states with large populations.

The Great Compromise was developed at the Constitutional Convention and helped in creating the modern day structure of Congress. In this deal, both states with small populations and large populations got something they wanted. For example, the Senate would be composed of 2 Senators from each state, regardless of their states population. This helped to ensure that smaller states had a voice in the creation of federal laws.

On the other hand, the House of Representatives would have the number of representatives based on a states population. The greater the population, the more representatives. This made larger states happy, as they felt this accurately represented the power they should have in Congress.

1. Lines 1-13: Which details describe the setting? How might the details of the setting contribute
Amanda [17]

Answer:

All the details given to us tell us the historical setting. The text tells us that the story takes place near Owl Creek near the Shiloh church in Tennessee. It also informs us that it takes place at night in a peach orchard. These details contribute to the theme by telling us that the army is not in their comfort zone, but in just an ordinary town.
