Section A:
3) add the ratio, 4 + 3 + 2 which is 9. then do 216 ÷ 9 which is 24. because you want to find out only A, do 24 × 4 because A is 4 which equals 96. A pays £96

4) 8 × 5 = 40 because you multiplied 8 by 5, you do the same with the 5, so 5 × 5 = 25 miles (I think)

5) change 8 into a fraction, so it becomes 1/8 ÷ 2/3. then do the KFC method (keep, flip, change) so 1/8 stays the same (keep) the ÷ turns into a × (flip) and the 2/3 becomes 3/2 (change) so now it's 1/8 × 3/2. then times them by making the denominators the same (bottom numbers)

7) because you increase, you do 100 + 85 = 185 then it becomes 1.85 × 250 = 462.5ml

8) 6 ÷ 0.1 = 60

10) it equals 10.7413..... so to 1 D.P it would be 10.7 because the 4 isn't above 5 to turn the 7 into an 8.

Find the mean and median for this set. 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8.5, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.
julsineya [31]

Mean: 8.375

Median: 8.25

To find mean you must add up the numbers. Then divide the total and the total numbers there are.

The statistical concept of the median is a value that divides a data sample, population, or probability distribution into two halves. Finding the median essentially involves finding the value in a data sample that has a physical location between the rest of the numbers.
