Answer:

 • Jig saw fit.
 • Fossil of flora and fauna
 • glaciation and mountain terrains in different parts of the world.
 • Deposits of coal, gold in lands far away.
 • Rocks having similar dating.

Explanation:

 • The west coast of Africa fits with that of the eastern coast of South America and states that these were geologically similar as they broke away and drifted for the Gondwanaland super landmass.
 • Similarly, the presence of the gold and coal mines in the ivory coast of Africa and that of South America's coal reserves also proves the same geologic history of the continents.
 • The presence of the mountainous terrain and the glacial topography in various parts of the continent is formed from the chains of the mountain that broke apart in northern and southern hemispheres.
 • The presence of the fossil evidence of plants and the animals that were found on both sides of the landmass is now found on the ocean and sea.

Alfred Wegener collected diverse pieces of evidence to support his theory, including geological “fit” and fossil evidence. Geological “fit” evidence is the matching of large-scale geological features on different continents. Another important piece of evidence in the Continental Drift theory is the fossil relevance. There are various examples of fossils found on separate continents and in no other regions. This indicates that these continents had to be once joined together. Possibly the most important fossil evidence found is the plant, Glossopteris.

What is known about the pyramid in the Bermuda Triangle today?
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

Hi! i'm a bit rusty on this but here's what i remember. There is theory stating that a huge crystal pyramid lies 2,000 meters below the Bermuda Triangle. The theory shares that the pyramid was discovered in 2012, and most think that the crystal pyramid was the cause of the disappearance of many ships and airplanes. A scientist named Dr. Verlag discovered the crystal pyramid, and claimed that it is supposedly three times the size of the Great Pyramid of Giza. Dr. Verlag presented her new discovery at a conference in the Bahamas where she shared the coordinates, but there is no record of the coordinates she had claimed to have announced. Hope this helps!

Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

When the sun shines on earth, the sunlight warms up the earth, in the way that sunlight would warm up a greenhouse. At night, when there is no sunlight, the earth cools down, just like a greenhouse. When cooling down, the earth keeps some of the warmth trapped in the atmosphere- just like how a greenhouse would.

6. Where is the North European Plain?
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

The western and central European section of the plain covers all of western and northern France, Belgium, The Netherlands, southern Scandinavia, northern Germany, and nearly all of Poland; from northern France and Belgium eastward it commonly is called the North European Plain.

Explanation:

The North European Plain is a European region that covers Denmark, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Holland, and small parts of northern France and the Czech Republic. Some research accounts also include the southern United Kingdom, east Russia, Baltic States like Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Belarus as part of this expansive plain. The North European plain also has lowly elevated plains tucked between the Central European Highlands on the south and on the coastlines of the Baltic Sea and North Sea to the north. The Baltic and the North Sea are divided by the North Jutland Peninsula which is also the nation of Denmark. The Great European Plain is formed where the North European Plain connects to the East European Plain. The Northern European Plain also occupies the territory under the Baltic Sea. Due to the plain's unique surface features, its geological structures are keenly studied by researchers.

Features

As part of the Great European Plain, the North European Plain lies below 500 feet in altitude, and has a relatively flat terrain. As a result, drainage is poor and frosty deposits cover much of the region and plain. The North European Plain also has several rivers like the Rhine, Oder, Weser, Elbe and Vistula. Along the Rhine River in the Netherlands, there is a well developed transport system, and a vibrant agricultural area making the area around it be densely populated. The plain is amongst the most fertile lands that are utilized for commercial farming in the world. There are also tiny farms strewn in the countryside of the North European Plains. The temperate climate and the average amount of rainfall in the North European Plain allows for growth of seasonal crops like maize, wheat, and rye. This makes the plain in the North European wheat belt region. Due to the plain’s fertility and flat terrain, it is among the most densely populated territories in Europe. The rivers that crisscross the North European Plain also draw in a large human population due to guaranteed water supply.
