Switch sides of your problem so it would look like 
r       -5=-4

multiply both sides by twenty 
after that it would look like r-100=-80
then add 100 to both of your sides
then after your answer would be r=20

400 * 125 = 50,000 children a day seen by all the santas
50,000 * 30 = 1,500,000 children seen by all the santas in 30 days total.

So, 1,500,000 children are seen by Lord and Taylor's santas.
