3: people accused of crimes had certain rights unless found guilty through a legal process

This lead to the phrase "innocent until proven guilty". in the court of law, the accusers should the one that provide the proof of their accusation. The law enforcement had a list of responsibilities that it need to maintain for the accused (such as maintaining their reputation, provided fair hearings, conduct a non biased investigation)

4: This is a quote from the Mayflower Compact and reflects the principle of self-government.

The principle of self-government was initiated by the people in the mayflower ships because they do not want to fully controlled by the another government. They elected their own government body that can pass the rules and legislation in their territory. This concept of self-government is what lead to united states consist of 50 regions that have their own autonomy.

5: Yes, it was an example of a limited monarchy in England, and explained that the monarch should not have unrestricted powers.

The magna Carta was created to make the Kings and nobles become subjected to the law and should not have unlimited power. This give more power to the people and place law as the highest hierarchy that rule the civilization, not human beings with personal desire.

6: English Bill of Rights

The english bill of rights state the basic civil rights that cannot be crossed/violated by the government in any circumstances. It automatically given to all citizens as soon as they are born in the country. The united states' bill of rights that we have is inspired by this document.

7: Mayflower Compact

Mayflower compact was created on a ship by the passangers who ran away from the religious prosecution by King James VI. They agree that they would establish a law when they arrive to the new land and follow that laws for the common good of people, not out of fear.

8: Paine's Common Sense

The common sense that created by Paine highlight the unfairness that the british government has force the colonists. He spread the pamphlets  in order to make colonists aware of this problem and develop a personal reason that make them join the war for independence.

9: The British monarch should be respected as a matter of common sense.

It's the other way around. Paine tried to convice the people that the regulations that imposed by the british monarch (such as overly high taxation rate)  only bring suffering to them and they should not be respected because of it.

10: It showed that a monarch's powers were limited, that even he or she had to respect citizen rights and laws.

Prior to the creation of magna Charta, the monarchs create the law by itself. This mean that they can even execute people without proper cause and all of the monarch's wrong doing would be punishable by law. The creation of magna charta highlight how the powers of the monarch mean nothing if the citizens unite and choose to oppose them.
