Recall that in the Ames Test, potential mutagens are tested for their ability to revert His− auxotrophs to His+. Any particular

his- mutation present in a His− auxotrophic bacterial strain would be able to be reverted only by some mutagens and not others. Yet, the purpose of the Ames Test is to determine whether or not a specific substance is a mutagen of any type. How is the Ames Test actually performed to circumvent this problem?

To work around this problem, the Ames test is done as follows:

A petri dish is seeded with salmonella colonies, moreover, in that petri dish a little chemical is added in the center. A culture medium is also added to the plate where agar is one of the ingredients and biotin and histidine have been mixed.

Only bacteria that show some kind of mutation will grow on these agar plates. This is because histidine has the function of allowing cell divisions necessary only for cases in which mutagenesis is necessary to occur.

Dr. McCoy studies cramped environments such as the space station. She has gathered quite a bit of data on the subject, but now must take the next step and  organize her observations to understand the behaviors.

This is reflective of the organizing and understanding his observations of behaviors goals of psychology.

The four primary goals of psychology are to describe, explain, predict, and change behaviour. In many ways, these objectives are similar to the kinds of things you probably do every day as you interact with others.

Psychology, as science has basically the following main aims or goals: understand, predict, describe, influence, and control behaviour, and improve the quality of life.

When the government imposes price floors or price ceilings, A. everyone wins, goods and services distribution is more just, a
Leona [35]

Answer:

D. some people win, some people lose, and there is a loss of economic efficiency.

Explanation:

When the government determines price floors or price ceilings, it generates sudden changes in the region's economy, because the government determines a specific price where the price of goods and services can be neither higher nor lower. In this scenario, price floors do not reach equilibrium and may lead to excess demand and shortages of products and services. While price ceilings are also not balanced and result in an excess of offers which generates waste of products and services.

When the government determines that this happens, some people win, others lose, but what can be sure is that in this scenario a loss of economic efficiency occurs.
