The formula for arc length which is measured in units not degrees is \frac{ \beta }{360} *2 \pi r, where 2 pi r is the circumference. We were given the circumference as 12 pi, so we can fill in the rest of the formula and the find the length of the arc that is intercepted by that 330° angle. \frac{330}{360} *12 \pi gives us, after multiplying in the pi, an arc length of 34.56 units.

Which graph correctly represents (5/2)x - y < 3?
Setler79 [48]

You can rewrite the inequality as

y > \cfrac{5}{2}\ x - 3

Note that

y = f(x) = \cfrac{5}{2}\ x - 3

is the equation of the line drawn in the pictures. This means that, for every point on the line, the y coordinate is exactly image of the x coordinate, i.e. f(x)

The inequality is satisfied by all points whose y coordinate exceeds the image of the x coordinate. Since the y axis is positively oriented upwards, a greater value for the y coordinate means that the point has to be higher than the line.

Also, since the equality inlves a > and not a \geq sign, the line itself is excluded.

So, the correct graph is the second one.

Please help i’m not understanding
ratelena [41]

Answer:

D is not a supported statement

Step-by-step explanation:

Let take them one by one:

A: from table: 0.57; in statement: 0.5

0.57 > 0.5 so this is supported

B: from table: 0.2+0.16=0.36; in statement: 1/3=0.33,

0.36>0.33 so this is supported

C: 0.07 is the least, so this is supported

D: the table DOES NOT show number of students, but proportions. So statement '7 students' IS NOT supported

E: from table 0.20 overslept. 0.2 < 1/4=0.25, so this is supported
