ed a mean of 192 restaurant meals per person (NPD Group website, November 7, 2012). Conduct a hypothesis test to determine if the poor economy caused a change in the frequency of consuming restaurant meals by young millennials in 2012. Answer:

H_0: \bar x =192\\H_a: \bar x \neq 192

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Young millennials, adults aged 18 to 34, are viewed as the future of the restaurant industry. During 2011, this group consumed a mean of 192 restaurant meals per person (NPD Group website, November 7, 2012).

It is claimed that due to poor economy this average might have been subjected to a change.

To test this claim we have to conduct a hypothesis test.

The hypotheses would be with null there is no change against alternate that there is differnce.

H_0: \bar x =192\\H_a: \bar x \neq 192

(Two tailed test)

The sum of 2 numbers is 50. the second number is 5 times the first. what is the number.
sp2606 [1]

Let the first and smaller number be x. Since the second number is 5 times the first, the second number is 5x. We also know both of these numbers must add to 50; thus, we can create the following equation.

x+5x=50

Combine like terms

6x = 50

Divide both sides by 6

x = 50/6 = 25/3 \approx 8.333

This is the value of the first number. The number you're looking for isn't specified in the question description, so I'll just provide the value of the second number. The second number has to be 5 times the first.

Thus, we just multiply 5 to x.

5x = 5(25/3) = 125/3 \approx 41.667

That's the value of the second number.

For the expression, use a property to write an equivalent expression, tell which property you used. Please help, and thank you :
raketka [301]
What about if you use the distributive property? You could do 1(x+13) because the 1 would distribute to the x and the 13 making it x+13. Hope that is helpful.

andrew-mc [135]

Answer:  The unit rate is $5 per  mug.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the the unit rate, you will find the amount  one mug will cost.

If there are 9 mugs  then to get it to one, you will have to divide 9 by 9, and the same way you will have to divide 45 by 9.

45 / 9 = 5

Answer:

C-----> x<-7

Step-by-step explanation:

first u do this to turn x in positive and consequently change the > to an <:

(-1).(-4x)>28.(-1)

so:

4x<-28

x<-7

# when multiplying each side by (-1), you have to change the symbol (>) to an (<), or (<) to an (>)
