What would be the result if worldwide laws were passed to protect animal habitats
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

People have to earn a living, and we only have one world to share. When a farmer plants his crop, he kills any bugs, molds, or rodents that might destroy the plants. If there is a law against that, then either the farmer commits a crime, or he can't support his family and has to collect welfare. Either way, he stops paying taxes. A government can not stand when the people don't pay taxes.

We already have laws in the USA that make a farmer liable if a protected species of duck eats a protected species of bug on his property. The only reason that is possible is that everybody ignores the law. So there is no point in having the law. Somehow, everybody fails to see why this is a stupid way to run a country.

Mutation occurs and the GGA coden is changed to GGA. What effect does the substitution have on the amnio acid?
dlinn [17]

Answer:

The replacement of a base at a codon, as occurs when the GGA codon is changed to CGA, causes a change in the amino acid glycine to arginine.

Explanation:

Nitrogen base changes in a codon usually result from base changes in the DNA before transcription into messenger RNA, called point gene mutations.

In the case presented, the substitution of the guanine base by cytosine in the GGA codon —resulting in a CGA codon— generates a change in the coding amino acid, resulting in arginine instead of glycine.

The change of an amino acid in a peptide or protein can mean an alteration in the structure or function of these molecules.

Because an amino acid can be encoded by several codons, changes of a nitrogen base at a codon sometimes do not involve changes in the amino acid sequence of a protein.

Explain why it makes sense that the levels of estrogen and progesterone are low in blood of a female during menstruation
valina [46]

Answer:

At the beginning of the follicular phase, the lining of the uterus (endometrium) is thick with fluids and nutrients designed to nourish an embryo. If no egg has been fertilized, estrogen and progesterone levels are low. As a result, the top layers of the endometrium are shed, and menstrual bleeding occurs.
