Answer:

The correct answer to the question: The term "reverse discrimination" was used in:___, would be: C) University of California v. Bakke to describe affirmative action policies that negatively affected whites.

Explanation:

The Supreme Court case Regents of the University of California vs. Bakke became a landmark case that cracked wide open the discussion on affirmative action policies, and how far they could be taken as per provisions in the U.S Constitution and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Allan P. Bakke was a white man who, at the beginning of his 30´s, wished to enter into Medicine at UC Davis, but he was not admitted. Bakke sued the school argumenting discrimination against him due to the school´s racial policies which gave precedence in admissions to people of racial minorities. Although the ruling by first the California Supreme Court, and later on the U.S Supreme Court in 1978 ordered the admission of Bakke into Medical school, the decision still upheld the righteousness of affirmative actions policies. However, what did become apparent about these programs was that some schools were taking them too far, and regulations were set to ensure that white people were not also discriminated against in favor of racial minorities.

What made philadephia a great area for factories and trade?
masya89 [10]

Philadelphia was great for trading and factories because it was on a river, located along the Delaware River and Schuylkill River, in the greater Delaware Valley.

People here in Philadelphia traded lumber, coal, furs, textiles, and bricks.

Philadelphia was a trade center for the colonies that based an important part of its economy on trade with the advantage that was located next to the river and had ports.
