Solving systems of 3 equations
2x-y-3z=4
4x+2y+z=10
4x-y+4z=-8
dmitriy555 [2]

The solution to the system of equation is (1, 4,-2)

Solving system of equations

Given the following system of equation below

2x-y-3z=4

4x+2y+z=10

4x-y+4z=-8

Subtract equations 2 and 3 to have:

3y - 3z = 18

y - z = 6

y =6 + z ............. 4

Also multiply equation 1 by 2 and subtract from 2 to have;

2x-y-3z=4

4x+2y+z=10

----------------------------

-4y - 7z = -2 .......... 5

Substitute 4 into 5 to have

-4(6+z) - 7z = -2

-24 - 4z - 7z = -2
-24-11z = -2

-11z = 22

z = -2

Substitute x = -2 into y =6 + z

y = 6 - 2

y = 4

Determine the value of x

2x - y - 3z = 4

2x - 4 + 6 = 4

2x = 4 - 2

2x = 2

x = 1

Hence the solution to the system of equation is (1, 4,-2)

The simplest form of

512

128

is

4

1

.

Steps to simplifying fractions

Find the GCD (or HCF) of numerator and denominator

GCD of 512 and 128 is 128

Divide both the numerator and denominator by the GCD

512 ÷ 128

128 ÷ 128

Reduced fraction:

4

1

Therefore, 512/128 simplified to lowest terms is 4/1.
