after wwi, germany owed lots of money to their opponents. they also had to drastically shrink their military and give back lots of territory they once conquered. as such, germany fell into huge debt. the us lost lots of money when the stock market crashed. lots of people lost vast amounts of money and lots of businesses went bankrupt. this affected many other countries since we have lots of natural resources and things to offer thru trade. japan, around 1937, was at war with china (but that is generally viewed as a separate conflict).
so yeah, i don’t think wwii was mainly caused by the great depression, but if it was, i don’t know who would be at fault
