Well, when the Depression started in 1929, President Hoover had began his time in office. He was a Republican and followed a strict Laissez Faire (gov't hands-off economy) attitude, thinking that America would recover from this brief economic decline. Until 1933, very little was done to help the United States recover from the Depression.

When Franklin D. Roosevelt took office in 1933, he enacted a completely different plan than Hoover. FDR started his New Deal plan, in which several programs and projects would start to get Americans back on their feet. Over the four years of his presidency, the unemployment rate plummeted from 25% to around 14%. FDR was elected for a second term, but in 1938, the unemployment rate rose slightly to around 18% as New Deal plans came to a halt. However, the plans came back into play and the unemployment rate continued to fall as more Americans got back out and working.

As World War II rolled around in 1939, and when American joined the conflict in 1941, business (especially manufacturing) exploded! WWII truly ended the Great Depression, as industries needed an incredible workforce to keep up with the war effort.

The nazi party had became largest party by?
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

The Nazi party became the largest party by organized the Bamberg Conference. Hitler wanted to reunify the party, and set out a plan for the next few years. Whilst some small differences remained, Hitler was largely successful in reuniting the socialist and nationalist sides of the party.

In the same year, Hitler restructured the Nazi Party to make it more efficient.

Firstly, the Nazi Party adopted a new framework, which divided Germany into regions called Gaue. Each Gaue had its own leader, a Gauleiter. Each Gaue was then divided into subsections, called Kreise. Each Kreise then had its own leader, called a Kreisleiter. Each Kreise was then divided into even smaller sections, each with its own leader, and so on. Each of these sections were responsible to the section above them, with Hitler at the very top of the party with ultimate authority.

The Nazis also established new groups for different professions, from children, to doctors, to lawyers. These aimed to infiltrate already existing social structures, and help the party gain more members and supporters.

These political changes changed the Nazi Party from a paramilitary organization focused on overthrowing the republic by force, to one focused on gaining power through elections and popular support.

Explanation:

Long story short the Nazi party got to power so quickly by many reasons. Hitler had a lot of supporters, ended up brainwashing people basically, and not only were grown adults part of the Nazi Party, Hitler created something called "Nazi Youth" which was basically the teaching and brainwashing of young kids/teenagers on how to fight.

What kind of rhetoric is Anthony most clearly using in the passage ?
ryzh [129]

Answer: It is apparent that Anthony's goal was to show women's side of things: that it is impossible to enjoy these blessings of liberty while unable to fully use them; that women experience a hateful prejudice based on gender rather than work ability or skill; and that ultimately, as United States citizens, women should not be denied the right to vote, because it is defined in the very word. And there can be no doubt that Anthony achieved this goal. Not only is her speech extraordinary, but she was the first woman to be pictured on a United States coin, and is known to this day as one of the most influential people of the Progressive Era. She raised awareness of this injustice through her speeches, inspiring others to protest. She died ten years before the law was changed, but her words and actions continue to affect present-day America. Ultimately, the beliefs she fought for far outweighed the $100 fine she was given for voting in 1872, which she never paid.
