Osmosis is the process by which water molecules move through a semi permeable membrane from the region of lower solute concentration to the region of higher solute concentration. The sodium potassium pump plays a key role in the process of osmosis in the cells. If the sodium potassium pump is not working, excess potassium or sodium will accumulate either outside or inside of the cells and this will cause osmotic imbalance in the body, with the cells either shrinking or bursting.<span />

Marizza181 [45]

Answer:

The correct option is C. Drawing a conclusion

Explanation:

The scientific method can be described as a method through which all the scientific questions are tried to be answered.

The scientific method begins with a question. To answer the question, a hypothesis is generated. Experiments and observations are made to test the hypothesis. Based on the data from experiments and observations, conclusions are drawn. Hence, the statement 'based on the data, we determined that plant growth is affected by the type of soil' best illustrates a conclusion.
