The truck can cover 145 miles in 2.5 hours, so the speed of the truck is
145÷2.5=58 miles per hour
the car's speed is 1.5 times faster: 58×1.5=87 miles per hour
suppose in x hours they will meet:
distance covered by truck in x hour: 58x
distance covered by car in x hour: 87x
total distance: 145 miles
58x+87x=145
x=1

                              = \frac{12}{6} ;
                              = 2 ;  "2 ≠ -2" ; so we can rule out:  "Choice [A]" .

Consider choice [B]:  \frac{(-3)(4)}{(6)} ;
                              = \frac{-12}{6} ;
                              =  "-2" ;  Yes!
→ Let us proceed with the final answer choice ;

You need 3/4 yard of ribbon for one gift box. You have 3 yards of ribbon. How many gift boxes do you have ribbon for
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

You take 3/4 + 3/4 and add it. That equals 1.5, so you take 3/4+ 3/4 again and you get 1.5 . So, 1.5+1.5 is 3. So that's how you get your total of 4 boxes.
