The correct answer is "C".

The US constitution:

  • Federalism established the way the US government operated by articulating state governments under the general government.
  • Established the separation of the federal government in 3 powers: The Executive (President), The Legislative (Congress), and Judicial (The Supreme Court).
  • Established checks and balances, which helps maintain the stability of power among the 3 branches of government. The President can veto a Law that Congress has passed, however, Congress can override that veto if it gets enough votes. On the other hand, the Supreme Court can declare a law passed by Congress as unconstitutional. Finally, The Supreme Court interprets the laws and makes decisions over them but it is the President who ultimately nominates Supreme Court Judges.

What competing views of the presidency were held by the framers?
Tamiku [17]
Long-term v. short-term presidency: Some wanted lifelong terms down to two year terms--there were concerns of chaotic changes not allowing for stability and the states' rights side (Anti-Federalists) wanted the ability to change power often.
There were also discussions regarding qualifications and powers of the president. Most of the disagreements were decided by compromise leading to the government that is created out of the Constitutional Convention.

How did the British people respond to the attacks they received by the Nazis
zmey [24]
There was a lot of British solidarity and propaganda about being strong. Many travelled to the countryside as big cities like London were being targeted. Children were sent to colonies, such as Canada.
