Find the slope of the line 6x – 2y = 6

Mathematics

6x-2y=6
To find the slope of the line, you need to find what y equals first
You must move around the numbers around until you get only y on one side of the equal sign.
6x-6x-2y=6-6x
-2y=6-6x
Then, you "isolate" y from every number
\frac{-2y}{-2} = \frac{6-6x}{2}
Therefore, you have the slope:
y=3-3x or in slope/line formula (y=mx+b)
y=-3x+3
In the slope/line formula: x is the slope so therefore the slope of 6x-2y=6
is 3

Please help!

6.2 divided by (2x + 1)= 2 1/3 divided by 4
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

x=2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

(2x+1)/2 = 2 1/3/4

Multiply 4 on both sides:

2x+1=2 1/3

Rewrite:

2x+1=7/3

Subtract 1 on both sides:

2x=4/3

Divide 2 on both sides:

x=2/3

Thus x=2/3

Hope this helps!

Answer:

(-2, -9)

explanation:

original coordinates of B: (7, 9)

use the formula: (x, y) ---> (x, -y)

 • if reflects over x-axis new coordinates: (7, -9)

If horizontally shifted there will be change in x axis,

 • new coordinates (7-9,-9) → (-2, -9)

Will 5x-3y>15 have a solid line
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

The inequality 5x-3y >15 have a dashed line

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

5x-3y >15

The solution of this inequality is the shaded area below the dashed line

The equation of the dashed line is 5x-3y=15

The slope of the dashed line is positive

The y-intercept of the dashed line is -5 ---> point (0,-5)

The x-intercept of the dashed line is x=3 ----> point (3,0)

Graph the solution

see the attached figure
