Answer:

25

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you simply square 15, which is 15^2 or 15 times 15, which is 225

Then, you square 20, which is 20^2 or 20 times 20, which is 400

Then, you have 225 + 400 = c^2

You simply add 225 + 400, which is 625

Then, you have 625 = c^2. You're probably wondering what do I do now!

Well, it's simple you square root both sides, to where it looks like this below.

√625 = √c^2

Then, c = 25

Hope This Helped!!!

Answer:

A:

The decreasing value of car 1 can be represented by an exponential function and car 2 by a linear function

B:

Car 1: f(x) = 18500(0.94)^{x}

Car 2: f(x) = 18500 - 1000x

C:

Car 1 would be $10600.40 after 9 years

Car 2 would be $9500.00 after 9 years

There is a significant difference of $1100.40 in value.

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = ar^{x}\\f(0) = a = 18500\\f(x) = 18500r^{x}\\f(1) = 18500r = 17390\\r = \frac{17390}{18500} = 0.94\\f(x) = 18500(0.94)^{x}

Alla [95]

Answer:

2 cups of peanut butter

Step-by-step explanation:

Mrs. Carter's famous peanut butter cookies call for 1 cup of peanut butter for every 1/2 of a cup of oil. Today, she wants to make a huge batch with 1 cup of oil. How much peanut butter should she use?

From the above question:

1/2 cup of oil = 1 cup of peanut butter

1 cup of oil = x

Cross Multiply

1/2x = 1 × 1

x = 1 ÷ 1/2

x = 1 × 2/1

x = 2 cups of peanut butter.

Therefore, for huge batch with 1 cup of oil, she should use 2 cups of peanut butter.

5) True or False: Absolute Value can never be negative * O True False
timurjin [86]

Answer:

True

Step-by-step explanation:

Absolute value tells the distance a number is from 0.

|7|=7 because 7 is 7 units away from 0.

|-13|=13 because -13 is 13 units away from 0.

|0|=0 because 0 is 0 units away from 0

Absolute value always produces a number greater than or equal to 0, never negative.
