If it takes 1/5 hour to fill 60 gallons
than multiply the fraction by 5 to get a whole hour
and multiply the 60 gallons by 5 to get the amount of water created in that hour
60*5= 300 gallons of water in 1 hour

From 1/5 to 1 hour is *5 so 1/5*5 = 5/5

60*5 = 300 gallons in 1 hour

A security light is being installed outside a loading dock. The light must be placed at a 65° angle so that it illuminates a par
jeka57 [31]

Answer: False

Step-by-step explanation: I believe it would be false. Using the law of sines with the side lengths of 113.29 feet and 125 feet, and the corresponding angels of 25 and 65 degrees, the angle of the light is about 58.29. I believe this would make it false as the angle is incorrect.

tim is choosing between two cell phone plans that same amount of free minutes. Cingular plane charges 39.99 per month with addit
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

100 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> the number of minutes

y ----> the total cost of the plan

we know that

Cingular Plan

y=0.45x+39.99 -----> equation A

Verizon Plan

y=0.40x+44.99 -----> equation B

To find out how many additional minutes will it take for the two plans to cost the same

Solve the system of equations A and B

Solve by graphing

Remember that the solution is the intersection point both graphs

using a graphing tool

The solution is the point (100,84.99)

see the attached figure

therefore

For x=100 minutes

The cost for both plans is $84.99

Can Someone Simplify this
2 ( 3 X - 4 ) + ( X + 11 ) + 5
alexandr402 [8]
First, distribute 2 through the parentheses.
Then, take out the parentheses of (x+11)

6x-8+x+11+5

Now collect the like terms.

6x+x=7x
-8+11+5=+8

So the answer is: 7x+8
