Lets x is price of noble fir trees and y - is price for douglas fir trees
students got 5x+3y=420$ on friday
and 12x+9y=1080
now we need just solve the system of equations
5x+3y=420 - multiply by 3
12x+9y=1080

15x+9y=1260
12x+9y=1080
substract second equation from first
15x-12x=1260-1080
3x=180 x=60$ - the price of noble fir trees

put value x=60 in first equation 5x+3y=420
5*60+3y=420
300+3y=420
3y=120 y=40$ - price of Douglas fir trees

Answer: Noble fir trees cost $60 and Douglas fir trees cost $40

The compound inequality 8.00 ≤ x < 9.50 represents all values, x, for which college students are paid hourly as teacher assis
Orlov [11]

Answer: x≥ 8.00 and x < 9.50 is the correct option.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, given expression 8.00 ≤ x < 9.50

Where x is the value for which college students are paid hourly as teacher assistants.

so, x is greater than or equal to 8.00

Therefore, x\geq 8.00

And, x is less than 9.50

Therefore,  x < 9.50

On combining both expression we get,  x\geq 8.00 and x < 9.50.

Thus, Third Option is correct.

How long does it take an airplane flying at a speed of 600 miles per hour to fly 3,000 miles?
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

<u>Option D is answer.</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there!

From the question;

Speed (s) = 600 miles/hr

Distance (d) = 3000 miles

Time (t) = ?

We know that;

Speed (s) = \frac{Distance(d)}{Time (t)}

600 = \frac{3000}{t}

t = \frac{3000}{600}

Therefore, it will take 5 hours to fly 3000 miles.

Hope its helps!

If a tabletop has a diameter of 35 inches, what is the approximate circumference of the tabletop? The answer choices are A 600 i
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

B 110

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for circumference is C= pi × d

(I couldn't find the symbol for pi)

You would plug in 35 for d to solve. You get a long decimal so you round it to 110.

So the approximate circumference for the tabletop is 110 inches.
