Desertification is the process where fertile land becomes a desert.

Well one way desertification could impact an environment could be by a problem called OVERGRAZING.

Overgrazing happens when goats and cattle are kept in the same area for too long which results in then eating all the vegetation. If all vegetation is eaten, it is unlikely for it to grown back. Changes in political boundaries and companies buying land means that farmers rely on the water and land around them. This means farmers don't regularly move to new fertile areas.

antiseptic1488 [7]
Untreated acute allergic reaction is a life-threatening situation because its symptoms can progress quickly. The most dangerous is the Anaphylaxis. It can be triggered by drugs, food, or injections, which a person may experience itching, swelling, difficulty in breathing, panic, and collapse. The worse is cardiac arrest when not treated immediately. Moreover, a prolonged illness may also develop as its late phase such as severe asthma.

Pick the statement that is false.
trapecia [35]

Answer:

An Oc mutation on the bacterial chromosome can affect the expression of structural genes on a F plasmid.

Explanation:

An Oc mutation is a mutation in which operator of an operon is constitutively active i.e. repressor fails to bind the operator which leads to unregulated gene expression.

An Oc mutation do not affect the expression of structural genes on F plasmid because an operator is a cis regulatory element and therefore it can only affect the genes which are located on the same DNA. F plasmid genes are located on the plasmid not on the main chromosome of the prokaryotes while tryptophan or lac operon system is in the main chromosome that is why an Oc mutation will not impact genes on plasmid.
