While observing some ants, a group of German scientists noticed that the ants had an excellent sense of distance. Wondering how

this was possible, they decided to perform an experiment.
First, the scientists taught ants to retrieve food from a feeder placed near the ants' home. Then, they removed the lower portion of some of the ants' legs to make them shorter. They also attached tiny stilts to some of the other ants' legs to make them longer. Finally, the scientists watched the altered ants attempt to retrieve food from the feeder.

After several trials, the scientists found that the ants with shortened legs walked toward the feeder but stopped short of it. On the other hand, the ants with lengthened legs walked past the feeder.

The conclusion that can be made given this information is that ants count their steps while walking.
And given that their legs were not either shorter or longer, that means their steps were either shorter or longer, which means that made either fewer or more steps then in the beginning. And if you take into consideration that they counted, let's say, 20 steps, and then either didn't get to their initial position or passed it, the answer is obvious.

What is the special feature of an egg cell?
Arturiano [62]
The human egg cell is the largest cell in the human body, measuring approximately 0.13 mm in diameter. Its size is 10 times the diameter and 1000 times the volume of most other human body cells. It can actually be seen without the aid of a microscope if one observes keenly. Unlike ordinary body cells which have a cell membrane, the egg has a special outer coat called zona pellucida which is made up of a jelly-like extracellular matrix composed mainly of glycoproteins.
