Hurricaines start with the evaporation of warm ocean waters. A rise in ocean temperatures will result more water vapor being evaporated into the air which causes an increase in hurricaines and make them more severe. Just a 1 degree rise in Fahrenheit can result in an incease wind speed of 15-20 mph. Hope this helps!
