Mary purchased 4 tires by mail order. She paid $63.40 per tire plus $6.80 per tire for shipping and handling. There is no sale

s tax, because the tires were purchased out of state. She also had to pay $7.56 per tire for mounting and balancing. At a local store, Mary's total for the 4 tires with mounting and balancing would be $368 plus 88% sales tax. How much did Mary save by purchasing the tires through the mail?

Mail : 4(63.40 + 6.80 + 7.56) = 4(77.76) = 311.04
the store : 368(1.88) = 691.84

so Mary saved (691.84 - 311.04) = 380.80 <==

The answer I got was $380.80 for the total amount that she saved. I did $63.40 times 4, $6.80 times 4, and $7.56 times 4. Then I added the numbers and subtracted the result from $368 plus the 88% sales tax.

30 children are going on a trip. It costs £5 including lunch. Some children take their own packed lunch. They pay only £3.the 30
myrzilka [38]
110 = 5x + 3y     (yet x + y = 30)
Therefore the only explanation would 10 kids bought lunch and 20 packed because....
10 + 20 = 30       AND     5 * 10 = 50     3 * 20 = 60       60 + 50 = 110

Could someone help me
Mekhanik [1.2K]

Answer:

the third one and the last one is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

we already know the second one is wrong because of it's set up.

just replace the points (-1,7) into each equation. if it doesn't work then move on to the next one. if it does work, then use that same equation except this time to the coordinates (2,4)

Which of the following expressions is equal to sin⁡(-150°)?
maria [59]

Check the picture below.

let's notice that the angle -150° has a reference angle of 30°, so any trigonometric function for either angle will be the same value, however, let's recall that the sine or y-coordinate is negative on the III Quadrant, so sin(-150°) is the same as sin(30°) BUT negative, -sin(30°).

PLEASE HELP<br> Complete the table by computing the amount in the account at the end of each period.
skad [1K]

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Initial Principal P₀ = 1000
  • End of first period = 1000 + 1000*0.02/4 = 1005
  • End of second period = 1005 + 1000*0.02/4 = 1010
  • End of third period = 1010 + 1000*0.02/4 = 1015
  • End of fourth period = 1015 + 1000*0.02/4 = 1020
