Warning: This might be rough...
First draw it out. Label the angles at the corners of the triangle 60 (definition of equilateral triangles). Now draw a line from the center of the circle to the corner, splitting the corner in half. Label this line R and a corner as 30 degrees. No to find the height of this triangle, you do rsin(30). The base of this triangle is 2rcos(30). Now find the area of this mini triangle (rsin(30)*2rcos(30)/2=r/2*rsqrt(3)/2=r^2sqrt(3)/4). Now multiply this by 3 because you have 3 mini triangles... to get...

Find the equation in standard form of the line passing through the points (2,-3) and (4,2)
Sonja [21]

The equation of the line passing through the points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) is

\frac{x-x_1}{y-y_1} =\frac{x_2-x_1}{y_2-y_1}. Here \frac{y_1-y_1}{x_2-x_1} is the slope of the line.

Substituting numerical values,

\frac{x-2}{y+3} =\frac{4-2}{2+3} \\ \frac{x-2}{y+3} =\frac{2}{5} \\ 5x-10=2y+6\\ 5x-2y-16=0

The equation of the line in standard form is 5x-2y-16=0.

Brandy’s grandfather has a very old pet tortoise He told Brandy that the tortoise was 56 years old when she was born 11 years ag
Iteru [2.4K]
Since the tortoise was 56 years old 11 years ago, we add 11 to 56 to get its current age of 67 years old.

Use a graphic calculator to determine the intervals on which (x)=2x^3-3x-1 is increasing or decreasing.
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

im not sure of the answer but hopefully this will help

Step-by-step explanation:

basically the intervals in which its increasing and decreasing depend on the leading coefficient and the vertex

since this is opening up, the intervals will be

the function is increasing (x coord of vertex, infinity)

the function is decreasing (-infinity, x-coord of vertex)

sashaice [31]
3\frac{1}{4}*(-2\frac{3}{5})= \frac{13}{4}*(-\frac{13}{5})=-\frac{13*13}{4*5}=-\frac{169}{20}=-8\frac{9}{20}
