Infection occurs when viruses, bacteria, or other microbes enter your body and begin to multiply. Disease occurs when the cells in your body are damaged as a result of infection and signs and symptoms of an illness appear. Pathogenic microbes challenge the immune system in many ways. The adaptive immune system ( antigens) reacts specifically to pathogens (germs). It is able to recognize attacking pathogens and fights against certain antigens or foreign substances. The next time a known antigen is encountered, the adaptive immune system can respond faster.

A niche affects biodiversity because of the special role the organism takes. For example a bluebird might only like to eat brown beetles. That means more and more beetles will die off leaving only lets say brown beetles. That means the biodiversity of beetles will be only brown beetles.Missing: greater ‎bomber

Some neuroglial cells produce the components of the electrical insulator called ______.
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Some neuroglial cells produce the components of the electrical insulator called Myelin.

What functions do neuroglial cells perform?

A broad class of cells known as neuroglia assist neurons during their growth and metabolism. They are in charge of preserving immune protection and homeostatic regulation in the neurological system.

Glia are non-neuronal cells of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and the peripheral nervous system that do not generate electrical impulses. They are also known as glial cells (gliocytes) or neuroglia.

Glial cells are non-excitable brain tissue cells that cushion, support, and insulate neurons. Neurons. excitable nerve cells are those that can transfer electrical signals and react.

Support cells, or neuroglial cells, work with neurons to help them survive and thrive in their ideal environments.

At the end of mitosis, __________ daughter cells that are genetically __________ are formed, while at the end of meiosis, ______
Bond [772]

Answer:

At the end of mitosis, __two________ daughter cells that are genetically _____similar_____ are formed, while at the end of meiosis, _____four_____ daughter cells that are genetically _____distinct_____ are formed.

Explanation:there are two types of cell division; mitosis which occurs in somatic cells and meiosis which occurs in reproductive cells.

In mitosis, division occurs once leading to the production of two daughters cells.crossing over does not occur in the chromosome, so the daughter cells are genetically identical to the parent cell.

In meiosis, cell division occurs twice ,(meiosis I & II),leading to the production of four daughter cells.

Crossing over occurs, leading to genetic variation in the daughter cells.

Identify and explain three major issues that cut across psychology
oee [108]
The three major issues that cut across psychology are stability versus change, rationality versus irrationality and nature-nurture issue.
Stability versus change deals with the issue of whether human beings change as they grow older or they remain essentially the same.
Rational versus irrationality illustrates the disparity between a human's mind ability to perceive and interpret correctly or incorrectly.
Nature - nurture issue centered on the relative contribution of genetic inheritance and environmental factors to human development.
