8.88 x 10^8

To find out the number used in the scientific notation, move the decimal point to where there is one number on the left, giving us 8.88. From then, count the amount of times the decimal moved, which is 8, and there's your scientific notation

888,000,000 = 8.88*10^{8}

In scientific notation, what we do is we break up a number leaving only numbers that are more than 0, and multiply that value by a power of 10 to represent the 0's that where there before.

In this case, we got only 888 (numbers higher than 0) and transformed it to 8.88. After that we transformed all the 0's into a power of ten, which would be 10^{8} (1,000,000).

Hope it helped,

Refer to the Venn diagram that represents the sports students chose to play at South High School last year. Select the correct d
vovikov84 [41]
I don't see a diagram, but if the portion of the tennis region you are asked to analyze doesn't intersect anywhere else/any other regions pertaining to other sports, wouldn't the sport chosen by these students be solely tennis?

Can someone help please?
Katarina [22]

Answer:

g = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the slope you do:

m = change in y ÷ change in x or (y2 - y1) ÷ (x2 - x1)

 • x1 = 4, y1 = -7
 • x2 = g, y2 = -3
 • m (the slope) = 2

Sub in the values:

2 = (-3 - -7) ÷ (g - 4) - we can simplify this

2 = (4) ÷ (g - 4)

4 divided by what gives us 2? 2. This means that g - 4 = 2, g = 2 + 4 which is 6:

g = 6

Hope this helps!

The volume of a right triangular prism is 72 cubic feet. The height of the prism is 9 feet. The triangular base is an isosceles
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

volume = area of base * height = area of base * 9 = 72

-> area of base = 72/9 = 8

let a,b,c be the length of sides of isosceles right triangle base

we have a = b and a*b/2 = 8 ft2

-> a*a/2 = 8ft2

-> a*a = 16

-> a=4ft=b

have c^2 = a^2 + b^2 = 16 +16 = 32

-> c = \sqrt{32} = 5.656 ft

Since i dont know that is DF, i calculate both a,b and c
